BR 2-15: Flood

I read "Flood" This book's cover looks interesting so I chose it.
It had been raining for days. Biff, her mom and Floppy went into the park. It was not much fun in the rain. The children couldn’t go out to play. That evening Biff, Chip and Kipper were watching television. The weather forecast came on. Some bad storms were coming, with a lot of more rain. In the morning, the park was flooded. The water reached the edge of the park. That day the school was closed. It rained in the night. The flood water had come in. They went to a hall in the town. When the floods were over they went back home. The floors were covered in mud.
If I live such a their home, I think I really amazing.I am sorry about them.

BR 2-14: The Dream

I read “The Dream” This book is easy to understand so, I chose this book.
Biff couldn’t sleep. Dad told her a story. The story was about a dragon. Biff dreamed about the dragon. It was a very nasty dragon. Biff had to fight it. She woke up soon and went downstairs. Next, mom told her a story. The story was about a dolphin. Biff dreamed about a dolphin. Finally she could sleep well.
I experienced like this so, I could sympathize with this story.

BR 2-13: Viking adventure

I read “Viking adventure” I thought Viking adventure looks like interesting. I wanted to try to read this book so, I chose it.
Biff, Chip and Wilf were in Mr. Johnson’s class. Mr. Johnson had a model ship. He showed the children a picture of a Viking ship. They made model long ship and they also made Viking shields and helmets. Suddenly, the magic was working after all. They were on Viking long ship. The wind blew harder and the ship tossed up and down. At last the long ship landed. The children waded to the shore. The Vikings took the children into a long hall. As soon as it was dark a long ship sailed close to the shore. Viking raiders were going to attack the village. They looked very fierce and they ran towards the village. Biff had an idea. She shone her torch. They had never seen a light like this before. So, they were frightened and they all fell to the ground. The villagers gave Biff a shied. Mr. Johnson had never seen like this shied. Biff looked at wilf and smiled.
I thought Biff is a bravery and smart girl. It was funny that Biff used a torch.

BR 2-12: Floppy the Hero

I read “Floppy the Hero” Floppy is a dog. I was interested in Floppy why he is a Hero. So I chose this book.
A fire engine went by. There was a fire so, everyone ran to see. Fireman stopped them because dangerous. A barn was on fire. Then a little dog ran to the barn. She barked and barked. Then Floppy ran to the barn. He jumped in the window. A boy, Chip, warried about Floppy. The firemen pushed the door down. Then Floppy ran out. He had some puppies. Everyone looked at Floppy and said he is a hero.
I thought Floppy is a very good dog. If there was not Floppy around there, puppies were not saved.

BR 2-11: A Day in London

I read “A Day in London” This book’s cover looked like interesting so I chose this book.
Gran came to stay. The children ran to meet her. Gran had promised to take the children on an outing. When they got to London, Gran parked the car. On top of the cdumn was a statue of Nelson. There were lots of pigeons in Trafalgar Square. They went to Buckingham Palace. The children couldn’t see who was inside the car. Gran took them on a boat. It began to rain and the wind blew. They couldn’t enjoy.
I thought they were unlucky. I felt sorry for them.

BR 2-10: Stories of MONSTER

I read “Stories of MONSTER” I don’t like monster but I want to try to see monster. So I chose this book.
Ben Boggle lay awake in a cold sweat. How could he sleep with a monster under his bed? At school, Ben could hardly keep his eyes open Ben bought a book of Monsters. As soon as he got home, Ben read the book from cover to cover. But there was no mention of monsters under the bed. Ben decided to build a monster trap. That night, his monster trap had worked. The smallest monster in the world was tangled in the net. She wailed and started to sob. Ben began to feel sorry for the strange little creature. They became a friend each other.
I thought monsters are awful but this monster is very small. I thought this monster is cute.

BR 2-09: The clumsy prince

I read “The clumsy prince” I think the title of this book is catchy so I chose it.
Colin was the clumsiest prince in the kingdom. One day, he tripped in front of a sad princess. She thought he was so funny, she wanted to marry him on the spot. Her father had other ideas. He gave Colin three tests, tests he knew Colin would not pass. Colin couldn’t pass the tests. That night, Colin couldn’t sleep. Suddenly, he heard a scream. It was the princess. He learned out of his window and sent a flower pot frying…straight onto the head of the man stealing the princess. The princess thief fell to the ground with a thud. Colin raced from the tower and swept up the princess. The king agreed their marriage. So Colin lived clumsy, but happy ever after.
This story was very interesting. He save the princess thanks to he was clumsy.

BR 2-08: Stories of Gnomes & Goblins

I read “Stories of Gnomes & Goblins” I chose this book because I was interested in Goblin.
Jessy was skipping in the sun when she heard a tiny, tiny cry. When she was looked down, there was a fairy, stuck in a spider’s web. Jessy could hardly believe her eyes. Gently, she lifted the fairy form the web. She was invited to Goblin Hill. But looked closely, she saw a door. The fairy cast a spell on her. The fairy opened the door and led Jessy inside. Prince Kester was very excited to meet Jessy. He asked the goblin choir to sing a song just for Jessy. Finally, king gave her flowers. Jessy ran down the tunnel and rolled out of the door. Outside, the grass was a jungle. Jessy was still the size of a bee. But, as she stood up, Jessy shot to her usual size. She looked back at the hill. The door was nowhere to be seen.
I think Goblins were very kind because they had never seen like her but they entertained her. I think Goblin Hill like a dream.

BR 2-07: The princess and the Pen

I read “The princess and the Pen” I chose this book because this book looks very cute and interesting.
Once upon a time there was a prince who wanted to marry a princess. But he didn’t want just any old princess. He wanted a real one. Not one of the local princesses would do. The next day Prince Patrick set out to travel the world, in search of a real princess. He took with his cousin, Fred. They hadn’t gone far when they heard a loud sneeze from under the seat. It was Peg. She wanted an adventure. Prince Patrick found Peg is a real princess.
Peg is just a friend for him. But he found she is a real friend. These points are very interesting.

Essay (2-2b): Baseball & travel English websites

I saw a lot of English web sites in the class. I chose three web sites. I will write about them. First, I chose English professional baseball web site. Next, I chose Mariners web site. Finally, I chose travel web site.

This baseball web site is short sentences and not difficult so, it is easy to understand. There are many information about twelve teams in this site. Recently, Jyojima decided to play baseball in Japan. He had played baseball in Japan before, but he went to Major League and he joined Mariners. He is a catcher and he played with Ichiro. Jyojima was selected WBC by Hara manager of the Giants. He is a great player. He had belonged to the Softbank Hawks but this time he decided to join the Hanshin Tigers. I am looking forward to watch him play next year. Draft commission held in Japan yesterday. Yusei Kikuchi was selected by six teams. The result was that Saitama Seibu Lions got a right of his negotiation. I want to watch his pitching soon.

I will write about Mariners. There are some pictures and videos in this site so, it is interesting. Speaking of Mariners, I like Ichiro very much. He is a so famous baseball player. He chose WBC, too. If he joined WBC member, Japan didn’t won the world championship. Ichiro records his 200th hit for the nine straight season. It is terrific record. He does same things every day but he evolves day by day. When he played baseball in Japan, he belonged to Orix Buffaloes. He is the pride of Japan. I am sure he will make new record in the future.

I like to see travel web sites because I can know a lot of information of many countries. This time, I chose web site which a tour to Bangkok, Thailand. This web site’s sentences are not too long so, it is easy to understand. I have never been to Thailand, but this site writes many things. If I don’t know where there are tourist spots, I see this site and I can find it. I like shopping so if I go to Thailand, I want to go shopping. This site gives me information of many shopping places. For example, Siam paragon, Central World, Weekend Market and other destinations. And this site also put restaurant information with pictures. When I see it, I really want to go there. The others, there are many pictures in the site. It makes me feel fun. I liked Bangkok more and more.

I searched English web site in the class, I want to see more English web site. I want to try to see English site not only Japanese site.

I watched a lot of English web sites in the class. I chose three web sites. I will write about them.

BR 2-06: The Quest

I read “The Quest”

Wilma was writing a story a quest. Wilma read the story to Biff.
Long ago, and far away, there was a beautiful land called Ulm. The sound of the bell told every animal, every plant and every tree when it was spring or summer. The evil Grimlock lived in the cold, black mountains of Grim. He wanted the crystal bell of Ulm, and he spent years looking for it. Grimlock took the bell back to the land of Grim. Without the bell, the land of Ulm became dark and grey. All the beauty had gone from the land and the days were cold and long. Biff had to go to dentist. After Biff had gone, suddenly, the magic key began to glow, and Wilma was taken into a magic adventure. The magic took Wilma to the Land of Ulm. The land was cold and bare. Grimlock was hiding behind a tree. He wanted to stop Wilma from going on the quest. Soon the ground became wet and muddy. Her feet sank into the mud. Suddenly a white unicorn helped her. She met a gnome there. The gnome took Wilma up the mountain to Grimlock’s castle. The gnome knew a secret way to get into the castle. At last, they came to the room where the crystal bell was hanging. Then the bell began to ring. At last, Grimlock asked Wilma if she could make the bell stop ringing. Wilma and the gnome took the bell back to Ulm and the quest was over. When the bell returned, beauty came back to the land of Ulm again. The magic began to glow. Wilma finished her story.
This story was very interesting. I became to want the bell.

BR 2-05: Kipper and the Giant

I read “Kipper and the Giant”
Kipper was watching a programme called “The Angry Giant” The angry giant lived in a castle near a village. Nobody in the village liked the giant. He was always cross. When the giant was cross he stamped his feet and the house shook. Kipper went to find Chip but he was out. He picked up the magic key and it began to glow. It took Kipper inside the magic house. The magic took Kipper to the gate of the giant’s castle. He didn’t want to meet the giant, so he went to the village. Kipper came to the village but it was a tiny. Kipper was a giant. The people threw things at Kipper. Kipper began to cry. The people thought he can help us. Kipper helped the villagers to mend their houses. He put back the broken roofs. He picked up the stone and took it outside the village. All the people liked Kipper. The village band played for him. The giant came back. He was very angry when he saw Kipper in the village. He ran towards the village. Crash! He fell over the stone. The people were frightened but Kipper went to help the giant. Kipper was bigger then the giant. Kipper said “Stop being angry and the people will like you.” So the giant stopped being angry. The people liked him. The key began to glow. The magic took Kipper home. “Nobody likes an angry giant,” said Kipper.
I think Kipper is a good boy. If he didn’t go village, nobody likes him yet.

BR 2-04: Victrian Adventure

I read “Victorian Adventure”
Biff and Chip had been to London with Gran. The magic took them back in time to a street on a foggy day. The children were in London. A girl was standing under a gas lump. Her name was Vicky. They followed Vicky down winding streets. At last, they came to a blacksmith’s. The blacksmith was looking at a horse’s hoof. The children pumped and pumped until the fire glowed hot. It was hard work. The children were hungry. Vicky took them to a street with a high wall. The children jumped off the wall and ran to the palace. Someone opened a window and they all ran towards it. There were three children inside. They were the grandchildren of Queen Victoria. At that moment, a grown-up came in and saw them. The royal grandchildren were sent to bed. The others were taken to a police station. The next day, an important man came to see the children. The important man took them to Buckingham Palace. Gran was having tea with Queen Victoria. The children played in the throne room. The magic key began to glow. It was time for the adventure to end.
I think the children met good people and hey had a good time there. I wonder when children and Gran were took London, why they separate.

BR 2-03: Egyptian Adventure

I read “Egyptian Adventure”
Nadian and Anneena came to play at Biff and Chip’s house. Floppy, ran into the room. Suddenly the magic key began to glow. The key took the children back in time. It took Floppy too. The magic took them back to Ancient Egypt. They were standing by a pyramid. Biff saw Floppy chase the cat. They all went to back to get Floppy, but he was stuck on the blocks of stone. The children looked up at Floppy. Then a man ran over. He looked sat Floppy and gasped. The man called to some people. The people put their hands together and raised them in the air. They sank down on their knees. The people took Floppy away. They people took Floppy to the king’s palace. The people and the children pull one of the big blocks. The Egyptians were carving a giant stone lock. The carving was finished. It isn’t a sphinx at all, it’s Floppy. Some Egyptians carried Floppy. Suddenly the magic key began to grow. Anneena picked up the model sphinx. It looked like a bit like Floppy.

I think this story is very unique. This book was very interesting.

BR 2-02: Beyond Strange Street

I read “Beyond Strange Street”
Sam lay in bed. With a sigh, she got out of bed. Then, very quietly she opened the bedroom door, crept past the living room and let herself out of the flat. The doors were open and she stepped inside. The magic button was there. One push, and she would be in Strange Street again. She looked closer at the button. The letters had changed. They now read W. W. She pressed the button. The doors opened and she got a shock. A sign was nailed to a trunk. It read: “Wild Woods.” She set off along the moonlit path. Once, a rabbit hopped across the path. She wondered if she should go back. And then, sitting on a log by the side of the track, was the strangest little creature she had ever seen. It was obbygobulum. He clapped his paws. There was flash of green light. A nearby tree trunk split open with a crack. Inside was the lift. Sam stepped in. The door closed. She thought “That was the wildest adventure yet.”

When I was reading this book, I was excited. The obbygobulum looks strange but I think he is cute. I want to see dreams such this story.

BR 2-01: A Rat for Mouse

I read “A Rat for Mouse”
There is a boy, Mouse. His saw his friend Jojo’s new hamster, Jumbo. And Mouse wanted another pet. The next day, Mr. Macdonald took Mouse to the Pet shop. He thought Mouse would choose another rabbit. But Mouse did not want another rabbit. Mouse saw the rat. He became to want the rat. The shopkeeper said that rats made very good pets and don’t try to handle him until he comes to you, or he might bite you. They chose a cage with a ladder and a wheel. Mouse called his rat Ricky. Every day, when he fed up Ricky, he put his hand inside the cage, and let the rat sniff him but Ricky never bit Mouse. Ricky was not sure about anyone else. He would let people stroke him, but he would never let them pick him up. One day when the friends were watching television, Ricky took Ben’s biscuit. Without thinking, Ben made a grab for him. The rat spun round and sank his teeth into Ben’s finger. But Ben said “Mouse is right. I should not have tried to pick Ricky up. I just forgot.” After that, no one forgot again. Everyone was a bit scared of Mouse’s rat. They thought he was fierce and dangerous. But Mouse adored him.

I think Ricky is very clever and he is cute. And Mouse is very kind person.

I read "Harry Goes To Day Camp"

Harry is a hippopotamus. Harry is off to day camp. The camp counselor has planned a very busy day for the campers, and Harry can't wait to go swimming. Harry does not play soccer or basketball very well, but watch out for him in the water.

I think Harry swim very well. And the pictures of this book are very cute.

Tiny is a very big dog. He likes to go places with his best friend. They go to the park. They go to the lake. But when they go to the library, Tiny has to wait outside. Soon it's time to bring the books home. Boy fill the wagon many books but he cannot pull it.Then Tiny is a very big help. Tiny can pull it.

I think Tiny is very intelligent dog and they cooperate each other.

Turtle and Snake are planning a party for Halloween, and there's so much to do. They need to make a list, invite friends, carve pumpkins, decorate the house, plan games, make snacks, and find costumes. They have to have lots of fun.

It is very funny they try on many costumes. I wonder why the turtle and the snake are good friends each other.
